Cost ranges and information about ADU rules, codes and permits are general information for planning. They aren't a quote or legal advice, and rules change, especially ahead of Idaho's 2027 deadline. Confirm requirements with your city or Ada County.

Estimates and work

Submitting a request doesn't create a contract. Pricing is set only in a written estimate, and work begins only after you approve a written contract. Work is performed by Idaho-registered contractors.
